When planning a non-alcoholic summer party, invite your peers from your recovery group so they have a safe and fun place to celebrate with friends. Here are five refreshing mocktails that you can make for your next summertime non-alcoholic party:
- Virgin Cucumber Mojito – Try this easy-to-make recipe if you like a minty drink
- 1 packet of mojito-flavored dry beverage mix
- 8 cups of cold water
- 1 cucumber peeled and sliced
- 3 cups of ice
Fill a pitcher with cold water and dissolve the dry mix, then add cucumber slices and ice and mix well.
- Mexican Strawberry Water (Agua de Fresa) – This beverage is a favorite in Mexico and is very flavorful
- 4 cups of sliced strawberries
- 1 cup white sugar
- 8 cups cold water
- 8 lime wedges
- 8 fresh mint sprigs
In a large bowl, mix together the strawberries, sugar, and one cup of water, then cover with plastic wrap and let it chill for four hours. Next, pour the mix into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour the mix through a strainer into another bowl to remove all of the pulp and seeds. Add the remaining water to the bowl and serve over ice.

- 1 dash of sweetened lime juice
- ½ cup ice cubes
- 12 ounces of ginger ale
- 1 lime twist
Fill a glass with ice and pour in the lime juice first, then pour in the ginger ale and garnish with the twist of lime.
- Monica’s Baptist Sangria – This is a great non-alcoholic punch that is easy to make
- 1 – 2 liter bottle of lemon-lime carbonated drink
- 2 tablespoons of lemon iced tea mix
- 2 oranges, sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 3 cups of ice
Pour the lemon-line beverage into a punchbowl and stir in the instant tea mix. Float the orange and lemon slices in the punch, then add ice.
- Raspberry Citrus Mocktail – Try this refreshing mocktail recipe if you love raspberries and grapefruit.
- 5 fresh raspberries
- 6 tablespoons of water
- 1 teaspoon honey
- ¾ tablespoon white sugar
- 1 cup of ice
- 12 ounces of grapefruit-flavored seltzer
- 1 lime, halved
Using a fork or spoon, mash the raspberries in a bowl and mix in two tablespoons of water. Stir in the honey and sugar until dissolved, then strain into a small bowl. Next, fill a glass with ice, add the remaining water and seltzer, and then pour the raspberry mix into the glass. You’ll get a nice hombre effect as the raspberry mix sinks to the bottom.
